Blood & Guts

I guess I would not blog if it wouldn’t be for Kid Fresh, Thanx Freddy… And it took me a while to pick up the “pen” and write some silliness down. Well but tonight I have nothing else to to. My face is in pain, blood is (still) dripping out of my nose and I feel I’m turning 78 tomorrow. I just got out of Kick Boxing class; payed something like 12 Euros to get punched – Not sure but everyone else around me seemed to enjoyed it, weather they punched or got punched. Why the hell I’m doing that, I don’t know. I guess 2010 is the big year. I’m turning 30. My friends start to date way younger girls to compensate… I decided to get in shape myself. (And it might be easier after all to get any attention from those young girls)

Still I feel horrible, eating no pasta, only one coffee a day and life sucks. Big Time. Ach, at least there is the Internet

The East opens up…  Passion was unfortunately not with me in Moscow but we had a great time buying underwear for my girlfriend in Stuttgart a few days before. (And I have to admit I just like to post pictures of him because he is always smiling)

Remember the mix I did with Passion. It’s from Bananas last week in Stuttgart. I got tipsy again and wrote silly stuff on the “wall.”

Monsters Do Exist

I always had a fetish for taking pictures of Burgers. Most of them I photographed I think I never ate. Too many scary movies came out how 23% (and more) of Americas finest Beef Patties is cow pooh. I stick with chicken – but these burgers are not worth to be published.

Since Halloween is coming up soon, (I play a show in Aachen) but I don’t have the flyer to put up I thought I share some “scary monster burger pics” with ya’ll. Bon Appetite.

Oh, If you ever make it to Shanghai, I’d reccomend the Mc Rabbit. Pretty Jumpy!

Electro Grass

I played with Dan (as The Bananas) last weekend at the completely amazing JZ Festival on the Electro Grass Stage. After half an hour  of rocking on stage it turned dark and we could see all lights of the city pop on. What a view! Besides that there was a super crowd throwing Bananas at us. I take it as an compliment, thanx. Make sure to check out all pics here.

Who’s the boss?

Passion is still in Shanghai. Besides exploring interesting animals (bbqed) on the street we decided to record a mixtape. I organized a studio, brought Serato, Turntables, Mixer and my Sound-Card. Latter just wouldn’t work. After playing with dogs, watching old Eazy-E videos on Youtube and eating pie we finally did something productive; taking new press photos.

(Maybe I should have mentioned that the studio we were hooking up our equipment was VISUAL TWO, from my favorite Photographer Guiseppe Ciaola.)

Woo Hahn!! Got You All In Check

I few to Wuhan this week. It’s very “close” to Shanghai, just 650km air-distance. Considering that I hate flying a good and a bad thing. The plane is tiny, and flies somewhere between the height of a tree and Jin Mao Tower. I assume this level must be the weather-zone where one turbulence replaces another. Horrible. Good thing is that the flight is only 35 Minuets. I went there with Charles and Dan, two funny guys who speak both Chinese. Leaving Shanghai without knowing the local language is dangerous; you might get served noodles with mustard (the Westerner must like that) or “No, thank you!” means “yes” to the prostitute knocking at your hotel-room-door. The reason why we flew out was to play Club 77’s two year anniversary. Celebrated with glow-sticks, not candles. It’s very hard to describe what a local club looks like. They are always full of junk. Remember the crib Vanilla Ice was hanging out in the movie Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles? Something like that. … and I must say I kinda like it.  Unfortunately no one hangs around in Mc Hammer pants. Most of the customers have no teeth (wtf) and pretty young girlfriends. Dancing is “forbidden” or at lease not very popular. Well I would call it animating the crowd and not deejaying. Just stand behind the DJ booth and look pretty. Not to hard for the Handsome Hensel.

Hoods Up Pt. 2 – Gangs

Hm, gangs is always a knotty thing to talk about. I mean, I’m with the Bananas Gang, we’re more about (alcohol-free) beer drinking and chip-chatting to girls then drug-selling and high-jacking. So far I’d say the Bloods (血液) are the majority here. The always show up in large numbers, taking over the whole street while representing their gang-colors (red). If you happen to bump into them you’d better hide your Pokémon-stickers and your Hello Kitty key fob, otherwise it’s gone. 字

Wikipedia says: There are “37 million” less female in China then male. That explains that the whole mob is only rolling with one home-girl.

Push The Button – 12th September 2009

Push The Button is a party series my fruity -partner Dan Battle is doing here in Shanghai at Not Me (东平路21号, 21 Dongping Lu). He’s in Cali for a wedding that’s why I did the date. Facebook is blocked in China, that’s why I had to do the promo the old fashioned way. Putting up posters and flyers. I had fun, met lot of nice girls and got chased a few times buy security guards. Even with all the efforts, the party was empty anyway…

What I actually forgot while living now 4 years here. There are probably ten-times more “forbidden” signs then somewhere else in the world. But still no one cares, I saw parents telling their children to pee under the seat in the subway, police cars wrong-way-driving causing horrible accidents and blaming the other car for not gving way or worst a flight attendant having a smoke right before we’re taking off (inside the plane).
